Package org.bitcoinj.net

Classes handling low level network management using either NIO (async io) or older style blocking sockets (useful for using SOCKS proxies, Tor, SSL etc). The code in this package implements a simple network abstraction a little like what the Netty library provides, but with only what bitcoinj needs.

ClientConnectionManager	A generic interface for an object which keeps track of a set of open client connections, creates new ones and ensures they are serviced properly.
MessageWriteTarget	A target to which messages can be written/connection can be closed
StreamConnection	A generic handler which is used in NioServer, NioClient and BlockingClient to handle incoming data streams.
StreamConnectionFactory	A factory which generates new StreamConnections when a new connection is opened.
TimeoutHandler	Provides basic support for socket timeouts.
